Earth of Now... Earth of Noah

I have come to be disgusted with what the world is today. The band Linkin Park has come out with a new single called 'What I've Done', it refers to all the evil that has come from the selfish, pleasure seeking, totally deprived beings with no consideration for others. The video sent chills down my spine as i watched it, showing a starving man in Africa before the American man eating a sandwich big enough to feed Africa itself; showing the testing of the a-bomb and it's use on other countries; the battle of race from the KKK to Hitler to abortion; all this evil that surrounds us every day that we live with. We are unmoved and should be outraged by these things. I think back to when God flooded the earth because he was angered by what His creation had become, a selfish, pleasure seeking, totally deprived group of beings that had no consideration for others. How will God intervene this time?

i felt some of the same things when i saw "blood diamond"
I was angry....then heartbroken...
the reality of the lives of so many people just like us does send a chill down the spine...and while of this is going on, I sit in my nice dorm room thinking how bad i have it cause i have 2 tests next week and the weather is too chilly for my taste!

Unbelievable!!!!!!

I took and Anthropology class at UK on Genocide and we watched a lot of documentaries that would make me nauseous, I actually read Don't Waste Your Life in that class because the videos of people getting slaughtered was more than I could handle. Everyone should take it, the class speaks volumes on the human condition, namely sin.

I like Linkin Park and I just heard the song yesterday so I will have to see the video sometime.

Nick,

God has already spoken to this perverse and evil generation. In old times, He destroyed the earth in a flood, in our times He has spoken to us through Jesus Christ. God's word to the people of this day is, "Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proff to all men by raising Him from the dead."

God's word to this evil generation is an invitation.

awesome perspective. I find myself growing numb to this far too often.
Has anyone read the book Under the Overpass ?

I recently finished this book..While it does not deal with genocide, the book takes a stark look at how so many around us (the homeless) live each day without even a though, prayer, or spare change from us...

good post.
